Doha – Asdaf News:

In conjunction with the Third Katara Arabian Horses Festival, the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) debuted Peter Upton’s art show, “The Journey: A Tale of the Arabian Horse,” on Saturday.

More than 100 paintings by British artist, painter, poet, and historian Peter Upton, owned by individuals who are passionate about art and horses, are on display at the show, which serves as an aesthetic, cognitive, and documentary journey.

The artworks highlight the beauty and distinctiveness of Arabian horses, emphasizing their role as an inspiration, a mark of bravery and pride, and a symbol of equestrianism, beauty, and originality.

The books also reflect Upton’s knowledge of the Arabian horse, his vision of it, and his enthusiasm for learning about its past. These things inspired Upton to write a number of books, including Desert Heritage in 1979 and The Classic Arabian Horse, which went on to become a bestseller and was translated into five different languages, including Arabic.

Upton staged numerous shows on Arabian horses and art all around the world before he about fifty years ago started judging Arabian horses.
