Grundfos and SCE partnership benefits over 8,500 engineers

The Ambassador of Denmark H.E. Ole E. Moesby hosted a dinner at the Royal Danish Embassy to celebrate the successful partnership between Grundfos and Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) on Monday, The event was attended by Eng. Farhan Alshammari, Secretary General of SCE, and Eng. Abdulaziz Daghestani, General Manager of Grundfos Saudi Arabia, as well as representatives from SCE, Grundfos and the Royal Danish Embassy and few media representatives.

In his speech, H.E. Ole E. Moesby highlighted the partnership between Grundfos and SCE as a great example of how Denmark and Saudi Arabia can exchange knowledge and share the know-how and expertise that help to solve water challenges in Saudi Arabia.

Daghestani, expressed his satisfaction with the prestigious level of the training programs offered to Saudi engineers, extending his thanks and appreciation to the Saudi Council of Engineers for giving the company the opportunity to contribute to the development and preparation of Saudi engineering competencies.

Daghestani also pointing out that the joint training program succeeded in covering seven major cities in Saudi Arabia with training courses, as it comes within the framework of the company’s responsibility towards the local community.

The Danish company Grundfos is one of the largest manufacturers of advanced water pumps and a pioneer in water solutions technology in the world. It supports global sustainability by providing traditional and smart energy-saving pumping solutions, in addition to renewable energy-powered pumps that suit various purposes and meet the requirements of various sectors including commercial buildings, factories, clean water and sanitation facilities.

During the period of March 2018 to September 2020, that benefited 2,512 engineers in Saudi Arabia benefited from Grundfos training courses, while more than 6,000 engineers benefited from the courses since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The training courses included 15 different fields with more than 70 majors and sub-topics, varying between pumping operations, electricity, and other technical topics. The courses contribute to providing new graduates with a full set of basic skills and knowledge about pumps and sustainable solutions.

Grundfos has established partnerships with a number of major companies in Saudi Arabia, and plans to offer more training programs and social responsibility events with multiple companies such as: SABIC Home of Innovation, Tarsheed, and SCE.

Grundfos also intends to establish cooperation with the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) to develop a similar training program for Saudi technicians to help improve their professional skills and provide them with valuable knowledge.
