The 2nd Edition of NEOM’s Shuhub Community Program Is Designed to Encourage Saudi Football’s Up and Coming Players

Riyadh – Asdaf News:

The second iteration of the Shuhub Community Program, an initiative to develop the talent of Saudi Arabia’s upcoming football stars, has begun, according to NEOM, a global partner of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

The Shuhub Community Program will hold four events from September 2023 to March 2024, building on the success of its first edition from the previous year. These events will give kids and teenagers in Tabuk, Jeddah, Dammam, and Riyadh a chance to develop their football talents. The program’s first event will take place at the Fahad Bin Sultan University in Tabuk from September 12 to 16 and is expected to draw more than 3,500 participants from all over the Kingdom.

In order to assess and improve each participant’s footballing abilities in shooting accuracy, reaction time, and passing accuracy, the Shuhub Community Program will provide specialized instruction from Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) trainers as well as sport-tech integration. There will also be informal games where they can apply what they have learned.

Managing Director of Sport at NEOM Jan Paterson said: “The Shuhub Community Program continues to reflect NEOM’s commitment to providing a platform for developing the next generation of talent across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, while also offering boys and girls the chance to improve their skills, have great fun and make new friends along the way. The program will not only pave the way for individual growth, it will also contribute to the growth of community sport across the Kingdom.”

For the Tabuk and Jeddah events of the Shuhub Community Programme, registration is presently available to all Saudi boys and girls aged 7 to 12, with Riyadh and Dammam to follow.

The Shuhub Community Programme is a component of NEOM’s partnership vision with the AFC, which aims to promote football excellence by promoting talent development, motivating young athletes, and establishing a centre of sports excellence.
