The film sector witnessed at the beginning of 2021 an artistic-commercial cooperation between two leading companies (Cinewaves Films) and (Film Clinic Indie Distribution), in pursuit of a wider spread of Arabic artwork in the Saudi market, the Middle East, and North Africa. A joint statement was issued by the distribution company (Cinewaves Films), represented by its chairman, Mr. Faisal Baltyour, And the production and distribution company (Film Clinic Indie Distribution), represented by its chairman, Mr. Mohamed Hefzy, including the announcement of a commercial agreement that began early this year, 2021, including the distribution of artistic films that participated in several festivals.
The agreement aims to exchange commercial and artistic services between the two companies, and that is through the distribution of films distributed by (Film Clinic Indie Distribution) in local and cultural cinema shows in the Saudi market, in addition to the presentation of independent Saudi films that are acquired by (Cinewaves Films) in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In this context, the founder of (Cinewaves Films) Mr. Faisal Baltyour, said: “Cinewaves Films aspires to offer ways in the future for generations. In addition, our services include providing consultations during production stages, from film development to post-production, marketing and distribution.”
In turn, the founder of the production and distribution company (Film Clinic) and (Film Clinic Indie Distribution), the scriptwriter Mohamed Hefzy said: “We have a great passion for the film industry and we enjoy this work both locally and globally.” And he added, “We are proud of the partnership between our company (Indie Films Distribution) and (Cinewaves Films), which has proven to be the most successful company in the distribution of independent films.
According to cinema records, the following films have been co-distributed:
1- The Tunisian movie nominated for the Oscar (The Man Who Sold His Skin), which was shown in Saudi cinemas earlier this year
2- The Egyptian movie that represents Egypt in the Oscar race (Souad), and it will be shown commercially in Saudi cinemas on December 29, 2021
3- The Lebanese film that represents Lebanon in the Oscar race (costa brava Lebanon), which will be scheduled to be shown early next year.
4- The Egyptian film (Feathers), which won many awards in Cannes, El Gouna, Carthage and many other festivals
