Testing Blood Sugar at Home Two or Three Hours After Meals is Recommended by the SFDA

Riyadh – Asdaf News:

To ensure the device’s safety and reliable readings, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) advises conducting a home blood sugar test two to three hours after meals. The SFDA advises seeking specialized medical care if blood sugar (glucose) levels rise while you’re fasting.

The authorities also advised buying devices that save previous readings, checking the glucose test strip’s expiration date, cleaning and drying your hands before a test, calculating how much blood was extracted, and putting the test strip in the proper spot.

According to the SFDA, the technology utilized in blood glucose meters is less precise than that employed by medical professionals during an examination. The National Center for Medical Devices Reporting (NCMDR), which can be found at ncmdr.sfda.gov.sa, is where consumers are urged to report any problems concerning medical devices.
