Following the resounding success of the exhibition’s inaugural edition last year, the Saudi Pet & Vet Expo www.petvet-expo.com will hold its second edition from November 13–15, 2023, at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Riyadh. The exhibition saw a strong response in terms of exhibitors and specialised local and worldwide sponsors, as well as a strong turnout in terms of spectators, with more than 10,000 people attending the exhibition’s initial debut in 2022, which reflects the interest of a sizable portion of society in the purchase, breeding, and care of pets, as well as the positive changes that have taken place in society regarding the idea of purchasing and caring for these animals, as well as an eagerness to learn about the advancements that this industry has made in the fields of food, medical care, and grooming for these animals. This shows how these animals have had an impact on these people’s lifestyles, improving them.

The competition, which is one of many events planned by the exhibition this year, aims to learn about the positive changes that occur in people’s lives who own pets and treat them with the utmost kindness and compassion, as well as the effects of the animal’s presence in that person’s life. This will raise awareness of the beneficial role played by the bond that forms between a pet and its owner and strengthens the idea of that bond in developing emotion and human competences in children and adults. The three winners of the finest stories and experiences will be chosen to share their narrative in front of the exhibition’s visitors and the organizing committee during the exhibition days.
The “Royal Canin” Company, a pioneer in healthy pet feeding for 50 years, is the competition’s sponsor. The first prize winner will receive free pet food from the sponsoring company for a whole year, and the “ALEFAK” Cooperative Foundation will also give away 15 Alefak cooperative cards, which offer discounts at zoos and pet shops in the cities of the Kingdom for a complete year.
The first winner will receive an amount of 3000 riyals, the second winner will receive an amount of 2000 riyals, and the third winner will receive an amount of 1000 riyals provided by “City Events”, the organizer company of the exhibition.
It worth saying that the competition is intended for all individuals in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, starting from the age of 12 years and over.
