RIYADH –
Turki Al Shehri, CEO of ENGIE in Saudi Arabia, said:
“In 2021 ENGIE launched its ENGIE Saudi Knowledge Sharing Training program in collaboration with Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF). This year, eight SIDF employees entered the six-month program, developing experience in business development, commercial activity, and project delivery. The aim of the program is to nurture local talent and enhance career development”
“Supporting the development of the next generation of Saudi nationals is a major part of what we do in the Kingdom. ENGIE has been present in Saudi Arabia for almost 30 years and today we employ 2000 people in Saudi Arabia, with plans to recruit 3000 more by 2025. Our work ranges from clean energy generation to efficient energy consumption, as well as services targeting water, agriculture, transportation, and energy storage which span across the country. To support this, it’s vital that we expand our workforce and demonstrate our ability to deploy our staff anywhere in the Kingdom. Without highly skilled Saudi nationals, this is not possible. This is what makes partnerships with entities such as SIDF so important and we look forward to welcoming the next cohort of SIDF employees later this year.”
