Saudi German Hospitals Group and Al Wedad Charity Foundation sign strategic partnership

On behalf of Majid Bin Abdul Rahim Bin Salem Al-Ghanmi, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Development, Fahad Rasheed bin Raqoush, General Director of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s Office in Makkah, witnessed the signing of a partnership agreement between Eng. Hussein Bahri, Chairman of Al Wedad Charity Foundation, and Mr. Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, President of Saudi German Hospitals (SGH) Group, recently at the Ministry’s office in Makkah.

The strategic partnership forms part of both parties’ interest to boost cooperation between the private and non-profit sectors on social development initiatives in line with the objectives of ‘Saudi Vision 2030’. It seeks to achieve the vision’s goals under the theme ‘Vibrant Society’, which give due importance to empowering citizens that require continuous support. The move also supports the Kingdom’s ‘Ambitious Nation’ theme which encourages the private sector to take part in the country’s social development through corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Makarem Sobhi Batterjee, President of Saudi German Hospitals Group, said: “Our latest partnership with Al Wedad forms part of our corporate social responsibility which gives emphasis on ensuring that orphaned children also get the benefit of world-class healthcare treatment through the various free health checkups Saudi German Hospitals Group will provide as part of our agreement with Al Wedad Charity Foundation. This will ensure that they maintain a healthy lifestyle while they transition to move into their new homes.”

Eng. Hussein Bahri, Chairman of Al Wedad Charity Foundation, expressed his appreciation and gratitude to Majid Bin Abdul Rahim Bin Salem Al-Ghanmi, deputy minister of Labor and Social Development, for his patronage to the partnership agreement, and to the General Director of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s Office in Mecca for his presence.

“Such patronage reflects our wise leadership’s support to the social work to ensure community welfare. We are keen to see the successful implementation of this strategic partnership which provides significant healthcare services to the orphans. This initiative plays an important role in ensuring that optimal healthcare is given to orphans and has an impact on decisions concerning assigning orphan sponsorship to families. We would like to express our appreciation and gratitude to SGH Group, Al Wedad’s healthcare partner,” Bahri concluded.
