RASHED AL MAJED AND WALEED AL SHAMI TO HEADLINE DSF’S GRAND FINALE SHOW

After seven weeks of sensational live music, epic sales and super-fun family entertainment, the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) will save the very best for last with an unforgettable mega concert in partnership with MBC GROUP, featuring two of the Arab world’s most beloved music talents. On 29 January, the day before DSF comes to an end, Rashed Al Majed and Waleed Al Shami will each perform at the Coca-Cola Arena for the DSF Closing Concert.

Rashed and Waleed, both celebrity stars in their own right with fans across the region and the globe, will wow music lovers with their mix of classic Arabic songs, contemporary Khaleeji hits and international favourites.

Rashed, who has been performing since 1984, has released more than 40 albums filled with his trademark romantic and emotional songs and even lent his voice to the DSF song “Dubai Kawkab Aakhar” or “Dubai is Another Planet” and helped create the new track “Ya Salam Ya Dubai” or “Oh my, My Dubai” alongside singer, songwriter and multi Grammy award-winning music producer RedOne.

Waleed, a regular feature on Arabic TV and radio music shows around the region, is famous for his chart-topping tracks including ‘Sadmah’, ‘Ahebah Kolesh’ and ‘Nar Helwa’.

Rashed Al Majed said: “I’m very excited to be concluding this latest edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival. I’m delighted to have been associated with DSF since its inception 26 years ago, and with the launch of my most recent song “Ya Salam Ya Dubai” I’m even more excited to perform in front of my fans from Dubai and the region.”

Waleed Al Shami said: “I’m honoured to be performing at the extra special closing concert for the 26th edition of the Dubai Shopping Festival. I have prepared a wonderful set list of songs especially for the concert and I’m very excited to see how my fans will react.”

The DSF Closing Concert, presented by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), organisers of DSF, and MBC GROUP will take place at the Coca-Cola Arena in accordance with all of the important health and safety rules, including social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times.

Concertgoers are invited to start their evening with a delicious alfresco dinner served under the majestic DSF lights at one of City Walk’s many restaurants and cafes, which serve an amazing selection of local and international flavours. A short walk from the Coca-Cola Arena, City Walk is the ideal location for a pre-show meal.

Doors open at 7pm with the show starting at 8.30pm. Tickets are priced from AED350 and can be purchased from www.coca-cola-arena.com and www.dubaicalendar.ae.
