A sizable crowd of professionals from the hospitality, food, and beverage industries in the Kingdom attended the opening of the first edition of the “Saudi Food Show 2023” at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre, along with exhibitors from 100 different countries. The event was inaugurated by Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef.
In his introductory remarks, Alkhorayef said that the food industry is one of the sectors targeted by the National Industrial Strategy and that food security is one of the key tenets of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
In order to expand investment prospects in the food sector and to satisfy Saudi consumers’ needs, he continued, the ministry is collaborating with its partners in the agriculture industry.
