Latest quarterly server tracker figures show Lenovo takes lead in server revenue in UAE

Lenovo was the leader in the UAE x86 server market for Q2 2020, according to the latest figures from International Data Corporation’s (IDC) Server Tracker.

Lenovo ranked top in the latest IDC Quarterly Server Tracker, Q2 2020, which showed Lenovo leading in the x86 server space with 25.1% market share by revenue. The company grew its share of x86 server revenue for the key UAE market from 17.4% in the previous quarter, taking Lenovo from third place to first.

Lenovo’s ThinkSystem servers have topped reliability and uptime ratings for the seventh consecutive year in the ITIC Global Server Hardware Server OS Reliability Survey.

The independent survey of over 1,200 businesses worldwide, compares and analyzes the reliability and availability of the leading server platforms and operating system (OS) distributions, and includes assessment of factors including unplanned downtime, cost of downtime, failure rates of components and security resilience.

Lenovo’s ThinkSystem x86 servers consistently scored the highest results across all categories and measurements, including:

  • Highest overall reliability and uptime among all x86 server distributions
  • Least amount of unplanned downtime of over four hours among x86 server platforms
  • Lowest cost of per minute/per server hourly downtime among x86 machines
  • Lowest failure rate of x86 server hardware or components during first year of usage
  • Highly rated customer satisfaction for seven straight years
