GROHE brand adjusts production across Europe amidst coronavirus crisis
Measures under constant review according to latest developments
Newsgate360 – Riyadh: GROHE, a leading global brand for full bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, has implemented a next step in taking action to protect its employees across the European manufacturing sites.
For its three German manufacturing sites, production schedules and set ups were adjusted to implement the latest official recommendations and guidelines with regards to hygiene measures and safety of its staff.
Production in Albergaria, Portugal, will be suspended from 30 March 2020, reflecting latest government regulations and the intensifying situation in this region. It is currently planned to resume operations on 12 April 2020. The structured and orderly phasing out period for the production in Albergaria has started.
Besides the European plants the manufacturing site in Klaeng, Thailand, also follows strict procedures such as temperature controls to ensure strongly increased hygiene standards and safety for employees.
With its measures the GROHE brand wants to uphold safety and health of its staff and support overall efforts to help contain the pandemic. For all sites, applicable regulations and measures are under constant review and subject to adjustments as necessary.
Together with its business partners, the GROHE brand is closely working on managing stock and service levels across the EMENA region, taking into account the circumstances and requirements of individual markets.
