GENESIS WINNS TWO GOOD DESIGN® AWARDS IN 2022

This is the third time that Good Design has honored the G90 model.

Today, Genesis revealed that it had won two 2022 Good Design® Awards. For their exceptional designs that set new standards for innovation, the G90 and connected car Integrated Cockpit (ccIC) Infotainment System both took home the top prize in the Transportation category.The G90, a luxury sedan that represents Genesis’ design identity and corporate values in the most exquisite manner, has gained numerous noteworthy awards in the previous year. It was awarded the 2023 MotorTrend Car of the Year in November and won an IDEA award in September. The flagship sedan received praise for its safety features as well, receiving the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation last year.

According to SangYup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of the Genesis Global Design Center, “The G90 is the epitome of Athletic Elegance that precisely combines dynamic driving and an elegant rear seat experience.” The engineers at the Namyang R&D Center and our dream design team’s passion, commitment, and creative teamwork are responsible for its creation.

The Head Up Display (HUD), Cluster, and Audio Video Navigation Telematics (AVNT) are all connected in a panoramic display by the ccIC Infotainment System, which debuted with the GV60 and greatly enhances the driving experience of Genesis vehicles.

The Good Design® Awards, given yearly since 1950 by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, honor design achievement in 32 different categories. Over 1,100 proposals were carefully considered by the Museum, who chose only the most innovative and top-notch product designs for each category for 2022.
