Egyptian film actor Hesham Selim died on Thursday 22nd September after batteling lung cancer for the last few months.
Ashraf Zaki, president of the Acting Professions Syndicate announced on Thursday morning in a post on instagram.
Several Egyptian and Arab actors and actresses, film writers and directors, singers and artists mourned him.
Actress Youssera, his sister in law expressed her grief on losing a a real honest friend and brother in law, Selim
Majida Al Roumi wrote a very sentimental condolence post on Selim’s death.
Selim was the son of the late Egyptian footballer and President of Al Ahly Sports Club Saleh Selim.
People on social media platforms expressed their grief on Selim not only as a talented actor but as a great human being and father.
Selim started his 50-year acting career as a teen ager with a role in the famous film “Embratoriat Meem” in 1972 with the late famous Egyptian actor Faten Hamamah.
He also played the role of Ibrahim in film “Awdet Al Ibn Al Dhal” with Majida Al Roumi and director Yousef Shahin.
