In a competition against applicants from the Philippines, China, and the US, Fehr Aljefri, a member of the Saudi Institute of Internal Auditors, received the gold medal for having the best score in the William S. Smith Award for the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) programme.
Aljefri is the first Arab to get the top CIA award, which has four levels: student greatest accomplishment, gold, silver, and bronze. The prizes are determined by each applicant’s performance on the main CIA tests.
Aljefri received recognition from the International Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) for passing all core tests in less than a year. His success is a testament to the encouragement the Saudi government gives to people in all walks of life.
