According to medical advices, some changes in eating habits and a fine-tune to diet would help to reduce the risk to heart disease.
1.Reduce food portion
One should take a note of what he eats and works to reduce the portion of it by using some twist in the routine such as: use of small plate, reduce the calories intake by eating larger low-calories foods and smaller amounts of high-calories ones.
2. More vegetables and Some fruits
Vegetables and fruits are good sources of vitamins and minerals and rich in fibers considering that some fruits like mangoes, dates and grapes are high in sugars. Some substance in vegetables and fruit might help to prevent cardiovascular disease.
3. Whole grains
As we may all know, whole grains are good sources of fiber and other nutrients that play a role in regulating blood pressure and heart health. So, increase the amount of whole grains as a substitutions for refined grain products. You can also use whole-grain farro, quinoa or barley.
4. Pre-set your menu
This would limit your intake of unplanned snacks that are full of sugars, refined grains and unhealthy fats.
When you choose your daily meal earlier, you would include vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean protein sources and healthy fats.
5. Limit unhealthy fats
Limiting saturated and trans fats is an important to reduce your blood cholesterol and lower the risk of coronary artery disease.
