Doha – Asdaf News:

The 12th Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) will take place from March 11 to March 21 at a new beachfront location in Qatar’s newest city, Lusail, according to an announcement from Qatar Airlines and Qatar Tourism.

The renowned festival will feature the biggest names in hospitality, top-notch eateries, a cookery theater, nightly fireworks displays, and live entertainment. It will also bring together a variety of unique culinary experiences.

In a gorgeous setting at Al Saad Plaza, between the iconic Lusail towers at Lusail Boulevard, the street synonymous with the 2022 FIFA World Cup final celebrations, QIFF will this year honor the best cuisines in the world.

The festival promises to offer great culinary treats in association with renowned chefs from across the world and in the area.

“QIFF has proven to be one of the most well-liked festivals over the years, and this year Qatar Airways’ global destinations are being represented via the amazing national dishes and cooking influences on display at this international event,” said Akbar Al Baker, CEO of Qatar Airways Group and Chairman of Qatar Tourism. “The amazing calendar of events we have planned that will appeal to audiences all over the world gives me hope that Qatar’s food tourism sector will keep expanding exponentially.

“Qatar Airways and Qatar Tourism are working hand in hand to cement our country’s strong position as a desirable travel gateway, renowned for a multitude of events, sporting competitions, festivals and amazing food.”

Foodies may anticipate 100 booths offering a variety of delectable dishes, a nightly cooking show, two premium catered food lounges created in association with 5-star hotels, afternoon tea, daily entertainment, a skating rink, and a fun-filled environment for the whole family.

As this year’s event honors the Qatar-Indonesia 2023 Year of Culture, attendees may enjoy the finest of Indonesia, the country that is home to the renowned Spice Islands. Visitors can enjoy foods that combine the nation’s many culinary traditions into one dish with a rich, complex flavor.

In addition, the food festival will provide a unique Qatari cultural tent with regional specialties and an intriguing experience with Le Petit Chef, an interactive eating event created in partnership with The Ritz Carlton, Doha.

The International Horticultural Expo 2023 Qatar, which will be held in October and with the theme “Green Desert, Better Environment,” will also be commemorated by a special kiosk with free plants for festival attendees.–QNA
