Riyadh – Asdaf News:
WhatsApp is developing a new feature that will let users verify their accounts using Passkey. Before it is made public, the platform launches a beta test of the service, which will then be made available to consumers.
According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp Passkey functionality would give users an easy way to login in securely.
The Passkey will employ a user’s fingerprint, face, or screen lock to verify their identity, which adds an extra degree of security beyond conventional techniques like PINs.
In a related development, Apple stated that users of its devices will be able to utilize passkeys with iCloud accounts. Google has already announced support for entering into Gmail accounts with passkeys.
