The two-day InnoXera Summit the leading EdTech summit sponsored by Classera has ended, yesterday. The virtual event hosted honorary attendees; Dr. Saud bin Saeed Al-Mathami, secretary-general of KSA’s Mawhiba foundation. In addition to, H.E Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training in Djibouti.
The summit’s two-days-agenda had attracted over 27 guest speakers and more than 3,000 audience, mainly executives, specialists, employees with educational interests, representing more than 16 countries and languages. The audience were engaged and interactive during bilingual speeches in both Arabic and English. Nevertheleaa, the summit included visual and sound effects creating an atmosphere of “physical” event.
Under the title: “How Covid-19 has Affected the EdTech Sector as we Know it Today”. The Summit aim was to display unlimited innovations to serve the education community.
Day 1: Opening remarks by Eng. Mohammad Almadani, CEO of Classera. Followed by Mr. Mayank Dhingra, Senior Education Business Leader Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe at HP. As a first innovation considered as a revolutionary breakthrough in education industry, both parties announced the launch of HP ClassEasy; an educational product, with unique customization and localization to serve the global market.

Mr. Dhingra said: “When education is offered as a service, then it becomes the lead of the future. Teachers need good education and training as they serve as front-liners”.
Discussion panel included high-ranked educational officials from various countries. H.E Moustapha Mohamed Mahamoud, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training in Djibouti. P.Dr. Mohamed Jemni Director of Information & Communication Technologies at ALECSO in Tunisia. Mrs. Nahid Amr Salim Senior Director of E-Learning at the Ministry of Education in Yemen. Eng. Nezar Mohamed Saeed, Director of Information & Communication at the Ministry of Education in Iraq who discussed the new reality for ministries of education during COVID-19. Inspirational initiatives at the ministries, such as “Learning Never Stops” that was launched by ALECSO in coordination with Classera in Djibouti, serving more than 100,000 students providing them computer devices and internet connections as an aide in converting the traditional education into digital.
Having said that, the e-learning sector in Djibouti was boosted to become a sustainable project for years to come. More discussions by private school principals and representatives spoke about real examples and practical solutions and howthey have implemented e-learning during COVID-19.

Second Day: The famous local host Trad Basonbul moderated the two-days-agenda, followed by a keynote by Mr. Harb Bou-Harb, Senior Director Education, Middle East & Africa at Microsoft. Another key speech from Dr. Misfer bin Mohammed Al-Ghamdi, General Director of Educational Affairs at Ibn Rushd Educational Holding Company.
International speakers from leading EdTech companies; Joelle Gross Technology Partner Leader at IBM, Manish Bakshi Managing Director, Middle East at Benq, Dave Dolan Chief Product Officer at Veative, Charles Sol, Co-founder & Pedagogical at EduMedia and Diane Janknegt, Founder of WizeNoze. Discussed the role of technology leaders to support education community facing current challenges.
Distinctive Arab and international guests were Hatim Alhathloul, Regional Sales Manager at Zoom, Dr. Fahad Alnemary, Co-founder at Ynmo, Ahmad Roowala, CEO of Squigl and Dr. Zamil Jamil Attar, Education Oasis CEO and APEX Learning partner spoke about innovative solutions in EdTech Ecosystem.
The closing remarks Classera emphasized the innovative ideas that will reshape education in the future as a revolutionary breakthrough in education industry, for example: Inspire reward program that encourage community and society overall to reward hard-working students and teachers and motivating their Academic performance to excel.
