The Omani Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth introduced Arts Award 2023, which focuses on three areas: promotional videos, animated movies (cartoons), and soundtracks. Citizens and residents of Oman who are at least 18 years old may contest the award.
The award has a number of objectives. In order to advance the industry and present fresh works of art, it aims to unearth talents, emphasise creative elements, assist university and college students’ skills, encourage young musicians, and strengthen collaboration between musicians, producers, and directors.
Participants in the Animation Production Award may employ classic animation or stop-motion methods, computer animation (2D or 3D) techniques, moving clay or trimmed paper, or any of the above.
Given that a film in this category has a runtime of at least 3 minutes and no longer than 5 minutes, the promotional films category of the prize supports the promotion of scenery in Oman. Each film must focus on a popular tourism spot in any governorate in Oman that the contender may choose to emphasize. Unconventional artwork is required.
When participants register for the soundtrack prize using the required form, the ministry will send them the film material. Links to the soundtracks that are intended to be created between September 5 and September 7 will be sent to the participants when they have been notified.
