Nana, the leading online grocery and commodities delivery platform in Saudi Arabia, and Yango Deli Tech, a global tech company that provides proprietary technologies and expertise for retailers, signed an agreement to implement Yango Deli Tech’s technologies into Nana’s current operations around the Kingdom and foundation within future expansion plans. The partnership will enable Nana to improve unit economics, significantly enhance client experience and support the company’s expansion into the new markets.
The move follows a pilot project conducted at one of the dark stores earlier this year. The test showed Nana could cut down the average missing items per day by 97% by implementing the innovative Warehouse Management System that enables almost 100% stock accuracy. Purpose-built dark store picker app also helped to decrease time needed for order preparation by more than 35% via implementing smart instore routing as each stock keeping unit (SKU) is assigned to a specific shelf. At the moment, the partnership is working at full capacity across all planned stores.
