More than 200 Renowned Artists and Calligraphers Attend the Dubai Calligraphy Biennale

The eagerly awaited Dubai Calligraphy Biennale has received excellent support from an amazing roster of partners, according to Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture). This great event, which is set to start in early October, will feature the participation of over 200 prominent local and foreign calligraphers and artists. This extraordinary event’s main goal is to promote a dynamic and enriching cultural display in Dubai.

The first Dubai Calligraphy Biennale honours Arabic calligraphy and its international equivalents. The Biennale, which presents classic and modern works in five languages, offers a venue for various creative approaches and looks at the relationships between typography and digital art. The festival also includes a variety of educational seminars run by famous practitioners, along with calligraphy-inspired art pieces in public places all throughout Dubai. The Biennale’s main objective is to identify and support up-and-coming calligraphy talent via a variety of creative endeavours.
