Saudi Hockey Federation President awards the Arab Hockey Championship Cup and Gold Medals to the Egyptian Zamalek team.

Engineer Mohammed Al-Mandiel, President of the Saudi Hockey Federation (SHF), presented the Egyptian Zamalek team with the cup and gold medals from the 1st Arab Five-a-Side Hockey Championship, which was held at the Green Hall stadiums in the Olympic Complex in Riyadh.

Rashid Al-Fazrai of the Omani Team won the Best Player Award, while Pedro Crespo of Qatari Al-Rayyan was named the tournament’s best scorer, and Karim Farhan of Egypt’s Zamalek was named the tournament’s best goalkeeper.

The tournament featured seven teams from Arab and Gulf countries, including Egypt, Qatar, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

Engineer Al-Mandiel praised the success of the first Arab five-a-side hockey championship, which is an extension of the previous local championships that were organized over the past two years, adding that SHF is keen to expand the establishment of such international tournaments to gain experience and knowledge and to promote hockey in the Kingdom like other games that appeal to young citizens in the kingdom.
