South Korean star Jeon Do-yeon drew on her own insecurities as a parent to play a single mother and professional killer in the upcoming action thriller “Kill Boksoon”, she told Reuters ahead of the movie’s premiere at the Berlin Film Festival.
In the Netflix film, Jeon plays Boksoon, a very competent contract killer. Although she has managed to conceal her occupation, juggling work and family life is becoming more difficult as her daughter, a teenager, matures quickly.
Boksoon, who was once razor-sharp, is distracted and caught up in a double life, which puts stress on her profession and forces her to reevaluate her values.–Reuters & Agencies
