During Genesys Xperience on Tour Riyadh, Ahmed Sidawi, Regional and General Manager of Genesys in Saudi Arabia, said that the company’s plans to launch a full-service Genesys Cloud region in Saudi Arabia represents a strategic step toward accelerating the adoption of cloud computing and artificial intelligence in the Kingdom, with a strong focus on data localization, security, and regulatory compliance.
In a media interview conducted on the sidelines of Xperience on Tour Riyadh 2026, Sidawi explained that Genesys is targeting the availability of a full-service Genesys Cloud region within Saudi Arabia by the end of 2026, subject to the availability of the required AWS infrastructure. This move is expected to enable organizations to adopt AI-powered customer experience orchestration in line with the highest global standards.
He noted that a local full-service Genesys Cloud region will allow Saudi organizations to leverage advanced AI capabilities while adhering to strict data localization and regulatory requirements an especially critical factor for sensitive sectors such as banking, government, and insurance.
Sidawi emphasized that responsible AI is a core principle at Genesys, with solutions designed to embed governance, transparency, and human oversight from the earliest stages, helping to build trust and ensure the safe and ethical use of emerging technologies.
He also highlighted that Arabic language support is a top priority for Genesys, noting that the company is committed to delivering its latest AI innovations with full Arabic language capabilities, enhancing both employee and customer experiences.
