It was announced today that the NEOM McLaren Electric Racing team, using artificial intelligence techniques, had created the first car sticker ever made specifically for race cars’ chassis, which was slated to be applied to racing cars at the FIA-hosted world championships.
The sticker’s introduction yesterday during the London Electric Car Race fell on the 60th anniversary of the formation of the McLaren Racing organization.
The stickers were produced in conjunction with McLaren Racing by NEOM and include the innovative future design concepts of the drivers Rene Rast, Jake Hughes, and four other participants in the NEOM Graduate Development Programme.
The six participants’ visions were expressed as texts, then translated into pictures and creative designs that reflected their collective visions before being combined into a single design.
The final design was polished by McLaren Racing designers before being applied as a sticker on the car’s bodywork.
