Riyadh – Asdaf News:

Noor Riyadh, the biggest light art festival in the world, will be held in Riyadh for a third time from November 30 to December 16, 2023, along with an accompanying exhibition from November 30, 2023, to March 2, 2024. Large-scale light art installations, architectural projections, performances, and other activities will all be part of the festival’s illumination of Riyadh. Five hubs’ worth of public places will display artwork.

The festival, with “The Bright Side of the Desert Moon” as its theme, is curated by Jérôme Sans (Lead Curator), Pedro Alonzo, Alaa Tarabzouni, and Fahad Bin Naif. It will include over 120 pieces of art by around 100 artists from over 35 different countries, including more than 35 from Saudi Arabia.

The “Refracting Identities, Shared Futures” festival display will be place in the JAX District.
Along with Maya Al Athel, Curator, who oversaw the festival’s artistic direction in 2022, Neville Wakefield, a former director of MoMA PS1, Frieze Projects, and Desert X, returns to oversee the show’s curation.

For the length of the festival and exhibition, Noor Riyadh 2023 will also offer over 500 community engagement programmes to all guests, including families.

Noor Riyadh is part of Riyadh Art, one of the largest public art initiatives in the world.
