Egyptians in Riyadh celebrated the 70th anniversary of Egypt’s 1952 revolution

Egyptian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farouq hosted the 70th Egyptian anniversary of 1952 revolution at his residence in Riyadh, on Wednesday.

Farouq welcomed HRH Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulrahman Bin Abdul Aziz acting governor of Riyadh region, deputy Interior minister Dr. Nasser bin Abdul Aziz Al-Dawood and the Foreign Ministry’s Undersecretary for Protocol Affairs Ambassador Khalid Bin Faisal Al-Sehli.

Ambassadors and diplomats of Arab and foreign countries, many prominent Saudi personalities and Egyptian community attended the celebration.

Farouq also welcomed Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi member of the Yemeni Presidential Council and representative of President Rashad Al-Alimi Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, members of the council and Dr. Ahmad Awad Bin Mubarak Yemeni Foreign Minister.

In his welcome speech, Farouq praised the brotherly relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia and confirmed the strong historical bilateral relationships between the two countries that enjoy continuous prosperity under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and HRH Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman.

Farouq said: “The exchanged visits between the leaders of the two brotherly countries are having the greatest impact in strengthening relations. The leaders met three times during 90 days, the last of which was at the ‘Jeddah Security and Development Summit’ which confirms that our two countries are united by a unity of purpose and destiny.”

Farouq also said that within the framework of Egypt’s commitment and its active role in various fields and its positive interaction with all the challenges facing humanity, Egypt is looking forward to receiving world leaders at the “Climate Change Conference” from 6-18 November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh.

23rd July revolution marks the beginning of republic in 1952.
