With a mesmerising range of events and experiences planned to bring to life the living legacy of Diriyah, also known as “The City of Earth” and the cradle of Saudi Arabia, Diriyah Season is scheduled to begin in December.
Parks, wadis, and other famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites are dispersed over different parts of Diriyah. The 2023–24 Season at Turaif and Bujairi Terrace, the fine dining destination, will provide guests with an unparalleled authentic experience that blends live performances, arts and culture, and immersive experiences to present almost six hundred years of history and heritage in an engaging and amusing way.
The Season has put together a distinctive three-month schedule of events that caters to all tastes in order to satisfy tourists’ curiosity in different cultures. These include immersive art installations and exhibitions, outstanding culinary experiences, live musical and theatrical performances, the much awaited Diriyah E-Prix championship presented by the Ministry of Sport, an expanded and captivating return of “Layali Diriyah,” and outdoor pursuits like horseback riding, camping, and stargazing.
This year’s theme pays homage to Diriyah’s founding legend and commemorates Al Awja, a symbol of Wadi Hanifah, the people of the bend, and a call to unity among all Saudis to celebrate their common identity and culture.–SPA
