Afro-Arab Esports League 2023 Launched

Over 25 national teams participate in the Afro-Arab Esports League competitions, which began on Saturday. For three days, these teams will play in a range of competitions designed for both men and women, encompassing well-known games like eFootball and Valorant.

Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, the head of the Saudi Esports Federation and the Arab Esports Federation, and Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, attended the Afro-Arab Esports League’s inaugural event.

Heads of Esports federations also attended the event, including Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, Morocco, Bahrain, Oman, Cameroon, Mali, Somalia, Libya, Syria, Iraq, Burkina Faso, Jordan, Lebanon, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, South Africa, Namibia, and Nigeria.

The establishment of the Afro-Arab Esports League, according to Prince Faisal, is proof of the industry’s significance in both the Arab and African continents. He emphasised it as a key strategy for encouraging cross-cultural dialogue and cooperation among the participating nations, and he expressed the hope that more of its equivalents from the Arab world and African nations will eventually join the competing teams.

He also emphasized the aims of these competitions, emphasizing how they provide participants a chance to bond, exchange stories, and celebrate their common interest in Esports.

Dr. Sobhi, meantime, praised Prince Faisal for his leadership in establishing the Afro-Arab Esports League. He emphasised the relevance of bringing together young people from the Arab and African continents on one platform to compete in these events, pointing out its obvious significance and the countless chances it offers for development.
