Dhahran – Asdaf News:
The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra), an Aramco initiative, announces the launch of Ithra Winter 2025–2026, coinciding with Khobar Season. The season’s grand opening will present an extraordinary fusion of culture and visual creativity, featuring a dazzling display of over 1,000 drones adorning the sky with art-inspired formations, making it one of the largest visual spectacles in the region.
Saudi Art Opens Ithra Winter
The season opens with a captivating concert at Ithra’s Theatre featuring Saudi artists Abdulaziz Almuana and Abdullah Al Mana, conducted by Maestro Wisam Khassaf.
Over four days, Ithra’s outdoor plazas will come alive with a diverse lineup of live performances, including Saudi singer Saad Al Oud, artist Arwa, and the choral ensemble Corala delivering interactive shows that celebrate the vibrancy of the local music scene.
The opening celebrations will also feature roaming performances, the Chinese Orchestra, and a variety of theatrical productions, adding a festive atmosphere that reflects the spirit and the richness of its cultural events.
Art and heritage enthusiasts can also look forward to the opening of Echoes of the Familiar on October 30, showcasing 28 artworks by 25+ Saudi artists exploring the theme of “home” through diverse artistic expressions.
A Global Cultural Destination
The event will highlight Ithra’s role as a cultural destination in the Eastern Province, bringing together local and international experiences through programs such as Tanween, the 10th edition of the iRead competition, and Ithra Spain Cultural Days, a celebration of Spanish culture through music, art, cinema, and cuisine, promoting cultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Spain.
The Center invites visitors and audiences to stay tuned for the announcement of the full Ithra Winter program, a season rich in creativity, cultural experiences, and artistic exploration throughout the months ahead.
