the UAE Girl Guides Association (UAEGGA) are taking part in The 38th World Conference of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), taking place in Nicosia, Cyprus. The UAE Girl Guides Association was represented by Dr. Huda Al Matrooshi.
The conference included topics such as how to grow scouting globally and attract more female participants.
The conference topics covered the best practises from the many member organisations who participated in order to identify the instruments and assets required to advance the Girl Guide and Girl Scout movement.
Maryam Muhammad Al Rumaithi, Vice President of the UAEGGA, said that the association’s participation in this important international event stems from its keenness to take part in international forums that are concerned with girl scouts and guides and to learn about the experiences and expertise of the participating countries, which help develop scouting in the country.
