Daesang Launches Commercial Manufacturing of Allulose

A Sugar-alternative Natural Sweetener

Seoul – Asdaf News:

The South Korea’s food manufacturing group, Daesang has developed a high-efficiency production process for allulose, a natural sweetener that can replace sugar, and will begin full-scale production in the near future.

After conducting a ceremony to celebrate the completion of a manufacturing facility specifically for allulose,      Daesang announced on Monday, that production at its starch sugar plant in Gunsan had begun and it cost about 30 billion KRW to build and took roughly a year and a half to finish.

In 1965, Daesang launched its starch-sugar enterprise, becoming to become Korea’s biggest producer of the substance. Expectations are high for Daesang to not only drive sales but also dominate the worldwide market due to the concentration of its expertise and distinctive technologies.

The demand for low-calorie sweeteners has increased due to the Healthy Pleasure fad since the coronavirus epidemic and the worldwide context in which each country is enacting strict rules like sugar reduction and sugar tax, which prompted the drive for allulose manufacturing.
