In collaboration with Spacetoon, Qatar Tourism (QT) is preparing to hold the “Qatar Toy Festival,” a first for the country and the biggest of its type in the area.
The festival, themed “Live the Tales and Enjoy the Games,” will take place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC) from July 13–August 5 and feature more than 25 of the biggest toy companies in the world, including Barbie, Blippi, Bluey, Cocomelon, Disney, HapeeCapee, Marvel, Fortnite, and Transformers. This is all part of QT’s vibrant and varied “Feel Summer in Qatar” campaign.
According to a press release from Qatar Tourism on Sunday, children and families will have the chance to meet some of their favourite characters during the 25-day event, take part in interactive-themed areas like a Barbie Dreamhouse and a life-size Monopoly board, and buy some of the newest toys from top global brands.
Head of Marketing and Planning at QT Sheikha Hessa Al-Thani commented on the festival, saying: “We are thrilled to work with one of the most well-liked channels in the area to deliver a world of indoor fun to families this summer in Qatar.
“Qatar Tourism’s ‘Feel Summer in Qatar’ campaign is designed to bring never-before experienced events to the country and allow families to enjoy a memorable summer in Qatar. Since the launch our ‘Feel More in Qatar’ campaign late last year, our seasonal iterations have been hugely successful in creating an exciting and diverse calendar of events throughout the year and on every occasion,” she added.
Four distinct zones, referred to as islands, will be available during the Qatar Toy Festival to accommodate a range of interests and ages. Fancy Land, Champions Land, Cutie Pie Land, and Hyper Land are these.
The meet and greet characters that will be present throughout the event will bring to life many more companies.
In addition to performances by a variety of Arab celebrities and content producers, the event will also include around 15 live acts and concerts on stage.
Feel Summer in Qatar is a seasonal extension of QT’s brand strategy “Feel More in Qatar,” which aims to further cement Qatar’s position as the Middle East’s top family destination.
