The FIFA Forward Program’s third iteration began on Thursday in Riyadh and will run through April 30.
Kenny Jean-Marie, the head of FIFA’s member associations department, Sanjeevan C. Balasingam, the director of FIFA’s regional office for the Middle East, Issam Alsuhaibani, and officials of the participating federations were all present for the opening ceremony.
Ibrahim Alkassim, the secretary-general of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF), asserted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s unrestricted support for the sport and the Ministry of Sports’ ongoing oversight have the greatest influence on the country’s appeal as a host country for numerous regional and international sporting events.
Jean-Marie, for his part, praised the exceptional professionalism with which SAFF conducts its business and the best planning for this meeting, highlighting the significance of teamwork to advance the game of football among the federations, the growth of its popularity and beneficial influence, and the best collaboration to ensure the complete sustainability of football.
