20-Minute Increase in Daily Physical Activity May prevent hospitalizations, a study

London – Asdaf News:

According to a recent study, increasing your daily activity by 20 minutes can lower your risk of being admitted to the hospital in the future for a serious medical condition.

Data from 81,717 UK Biobank participants aged 42 to 78 were used in the study, which was published in JAMA Network Open.
Higher levels of physical activity were linked to lower risks of hospitalization for the following nine diseases: gallbladder disease, urinary tract infections, diabetes (both type 1 and type 2), venous thromboembolism, pneumonia, ischemic stroke, iron deficiency anemia, diverticular disease, and colon polyps. This further supports the researchers’ argument.

A 20-minute increase in daily physical exercise was connected to hospitalization decreases ranging from 3.8% for colon polyps to 23% for diabetes..–QNA
