12th Sikka Art and Design Festival launches Open Call
The Festival to take place from 23rd February to 3rd March 2024

For the 12th Sikka Art and Design Festival, which will be held from February 23 to March 3, 2024, the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) has released an open call, inviting both new and established artists from the UAE and the GCC to participate in the festival and display their works.
The event, which is supported by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and a member of the Dubai Council, gives artists the chance to display their work in a variety of media, including visual arts, painting, sculpture, photography, design, murals, and mixed media. It also includes interactive workshops, musical and cinematic performances, talks, and a number of panels that enhance the regional cultural scene and trends globally.
The addition of the Culinary Arts category for the festival’s 12th edition was announced by the Authority since it is thought to be a field that fosters innovation and helps to highlight various cultures in Dubai while demonstrating coexistence amongst them.
A committee of specialists will sort the applications and decide which works are qualified to participate in the festival, which is part of the Sikka Platform and Dubai Art Season, during the application process, which will start on August 1 and end on September 15, 2023.
